Elevate Your Practice
Yin yoga is a beautiful practice that takes us on a journey into our inner world. Through the practice of yin we start to understand the many layers of the human body bringing about profound and lasting healing. When we start to understand ourselves, we can then understand the world around us better. Wether you are a student or a yoga teacher, this a perfect opportunity to elevate your practice and understanding of Yin, so that you will be able to share your practice in any setting!
WHAT IS YIN?
To find balance in this modern hectic and busy world, we have started to lean towards more quiet and slower practice: A practice where we can stop, calm, and return back to equilibrium. Yin yoga practice is slow and accessible for many levels of practitioners. The intention of Yin Yoga is to open into the body and its connective tissues, bones, joints, and ligaments.
The long-held poses give the body time to react, expand, open, and change. The change does not only happen on a physical level yet on an emotional level as well. This slow and quiet practice opens the door to deeper inside to the soul level as we start to quiet down the noise around. Overall - Yin teaches us Resilience – How to bounce back from challenges and how to breathe through life.

MEET YOUR LEAD TRAINER:
SAMANTHA CAGMAN
Sam found yoga and acupuncture at the exact same time, as the yoga studio she began her practice in also hosted an acupuncturist, Erin Kumpf, and her transformation bloomed. Sam saw the immense benefits of both practices, and has been a student of yoga and patient of acupuncture ever since. Sam's 200 hour teacher training was completed at Pure Yoga in 2016, and in 2017 she completed a Yin Yoga training with Karen Mandell and Restorative Yoga training with Jillian Pransky.
Sam has also been working at Erin Kumpf Acupuncture & Herbs since 2017. Working closely with yoga students as well as being involved in an acupuncture clinic has helped Sam to share this practice with others as a tool for reflection, balance, and release. Because of this unique combination of skill sets, she brings an important and interesting perspective into this training with a depth of knowledge of TCM, the meridians/channels and acupressure points, and will be teaching you how to incorporate these layers into your yin yoga practice. She is incredibly excited to share her passion for this practice and sacred knowledge with all of you!
